This 9 Days Uganda-Tanzania wildlife safari: will take you Tanzania and Uganda where you will be able to do different activities. The safari will first take you to Lake Manyara National Park which is a small park at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment and hosts a large number of pink flamingos in addition to other wildlife like hippos that dwell in the swallow part of the lake. You will then head to Serengeti National park with over one million wildebeest and thousands of zebras, more than 10 species of Antelopes and over 500 species of birds not forgetting two species of primates those are olive baboons and black faced monkeys. You will head to Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world teams with an abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. You will end your journey in Uganda; Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for your gorilla trekking. hosts roughly half of the world’s population gorillas including several habituated groups that can be tracked.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport-Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park

You will be picked at the International Airport of Kilimanjaro by your driver guide and drive straight away to Lake Manyara National park for a game drive with lunch Boxes. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. While here, you be able to spot different game animals such as Buffalo, Elephants, Giraffe, Impala, Flamingoes, Hippo, and others. After the game drive you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you start on your way to Serengeti National Park and a picnic lunch will be provided. On the way you will stop to Masai village which is one of the most famous tribe in Africa that practicing their cultural norms through their fox dances and songs. On the way to Serengeti, expect to see some animals which are gathering with Masai animals. Later you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Serengeti National park full day of game drive

After an early morning breakfast, you head for your full day game drive and depending on the time of the year, you expect to different animals which include the lions, wildebeests, elephants, antelopes, giraffes, grand’s gazelle, Thomson’s gazelle, waterbucks, hippos, warthogs, tree hyrax, cheetah, buffalos, leopards, rock hyrax and more. Later in the evening you will head back to your lodge for your overnight stay.

Day 4: Depart Serengeti transfer to Ngorongoro crater tour

After an early morning breakfast, you will proceed towards the rim of the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater stopping occasionally to admire the breath-taking vista unfolding before you. You will arrive late afternoon, check in your lodge for lunch and later you can decide to just relax and enjoy the panoramic views of the crater which is said to be the largest unbroken caldera in the world.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater full day

After having an early morning breakfast, you descend some 600m into the crater, which is a home to an abundance of wildlife and a photogenic paradise. You will have a full day game with a picnic lunch at a private scenic site. Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in world with an abundance of wildlife which permanently reside on the crater floor. While here you will spot different animals like the Cape buffalo, Thompson’s gazelles, spotted hyena, rhino, lions, giraffes, cheetah, leopard, black backed jackal and more. Apart from its wildlife riches, the crater is also of great archaeological importance, with the remains of some of mankind’s earliest ancestors discovered in the area. Later you will head back to your lodge for overnight stay.

Day 6: Depart Ngorongoro Crater transfer to Entebbe

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Arusha for your flight to Entebbe, Uganda. You will be received and welcomed by our representative who will later transfer you to your hotel where you will be briefed about the safari. Depending on the time of your arrival, you can decide to visit the craft villages and shopping malls around town.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After an early breakfast, you will start on your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park which is said to be Africa’s oldest rainforest and it is world renowned for its excellent gorilla sighting opportunities. More famously, the forest has half of the world’s population including several habituated groups that can be tracked. This biologically diverse region also provides shelter to a further 120 mammals, including several primate species such as baboons and chimpanzees, as well as elephants and antelopes. You have your first stop over at the Equator for lunch and also have a chance to enjoy the equator experiences like standing in 2 hemispheres at the same time. While at the equator feel free to take photos, videos and also buy some souvenirs to take back home. Later you will continue with your journey arriving late evening checking direct into your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking

After an early breakfast, you will head to the quarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts while trekking the gorillas. You be divided in a group of 8 people and led the ranger of the day into the forest in search of these great apes. Upon locating one of the families, you will be given one 1 hour in their presence as you enjoy them during their daily activates. Feel free to take photos and videos to take back home for remembrance. After this activity, you are awarded by a gorilla tracking certificate as a sign of welcoming you back from the thick forest. Later you will head back to your later, you can decided to an evening nature walk or community visit and get to know the Batwa people around this place.

Day 9: Depart Bwindi- Transfer to Entebbe 

After breakfast you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight to your next destination with a stopover for lunch en-route.
