Mweya Safari Lodge
The Lodge is located in Western Uganda on a peninsula within the heart of the Queen Elizabeth National Park and surrounded by the magical Rwenzori Mountains the ‘Mountains of the Moon’; Mweya Safari Lodge offers visitors a spectacular experience of luxury in the wilderness. To the east, lie the guardians of the birthplace of mankind, the Great Rift Valley hills, separated from the Mountains of the Moon by the meandering Kazinga Channel. Here the water flows endlessly into two giant lakes – Lake George and Lake Edward.
Each room at Mweya Safari Lodge has a breathtaking view of the Kazinga channel. You can watch the forest hogs grazing the grass outside, as well as the odd curious hippo! These rooms are perfectly situated to view the picturesque Lakes George and Edward and one can also view the Rwenzori Mountains while sitting on the balcony watching the warthogs graze. Families may be more comfortable in the affordable, family cottages, namely “The Rwenzori Cottage” and “The Royal Cottage” and for those demanding something more luxurious and exclusive, the “Queens Cottage” and “The Presidential Cottage” will be sure to meet your demands.
Swimming pool
Enjoy a cocktail in the Infinity Swimming Pool overlooking the Kazinga Channel. The pool at Mweya Safari Lodge has a panoramic view of the Kazinga Channel, which separates Lake George and Lake Edward.
