About This Tour

This 5 Days Kenya Wildlife Safari : will basically take you to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. This park is located in the southwestern Kenya on the border with Tanzania and showcases different animal species. In Masai Mara National Reserve, you are almost guaranteed to see the Big 5, and other animals. Animals here include; cheetah, hyenas, giraffe, impala, wildebeest, topi, baboons, warthogs, zebra, etc. The areas bordering the Mara River are forested and are home to over several hundred of bird species. The tour will conclude with Lake Nakuru national park famous for its huge flocks of flamingos. As a matter of fact, these birds enjoy the alkaline waters of this shallow soda lake.

Arrival in Nairobi-Transfer to the Hotel

You will be picked by one of our representatives who will transfer you to your hotel where you will spend your night.

Nairobi-Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park (Approx.5hrs)

After your morning breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will enjoy short photographic stop overs on your way as you proceed to Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will enjoy game drives in the park and along the shores of the Alkaline Lake. While here, look out for endangered white Rhinos, Rothschild’s Giraffes, pink necked lesser Flamingos that are spotted here seasonally. Other wildlife found here include; zebras, spotted hyenas, lions, buffaloes, elands, water bucks and several bird species. Dinner and Overnight stay at lodge.

Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve (Approx. 5hours Drive)

After an early breakfast, depart for the famous Masai Mara National Reserve arriving at your lodge in time for lunch. Masai Mara reserve is basically situated in the Rift Valley with Tanzania’s Serengeti Plains running along its southern end.  The park also showcases big families of elephants, buffaloes, lions, and hippos as well as other animals. Besides, the areas bordering the Mara River are forested and are home to over several hundred bird species. As a matter of fact, the park is home to the great migration in the months of July-October. In fact, this is  when two million Wildebeests make their way northwards from Serengeti in Tanzania. On this day after lunch, you will go for a game drive in search for the mammal species and bird species.

Full Day Game drive

On this day after your breakfast, you will have a full day of game drives ahead. Before sunrise you will try to spot different predators that might have made a kill last night. You can decide to take a packed lunch for a full day game drives or come back at the camp for a hot lunch. Note that, here if you want to spot a lot of animals then you have do different game drives on different times and park areas. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Transfer back to Nairobi 

You will go on early morning game drive after which, start the journey back to Nairobi. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel or the airport for your flight back home.

If you enjoy a little adventure try a walking safari with a Masai guide. The best ones are outside the reserve boundaries in the Conservancies.

Cultural Tours with the Masai

Visiting a traditional Masai village is frequently included in a safari package and have an experience about the Masai.

Hot Air Ballooning

This is a popular pastime that provides an expensive but unique experience. Every lodge and camp will be able to set up a flight for you. The balloons usually fly at dawn and last about an hour. Upon landing most balloon companies offer a champagne breakfast.
