3 Days Uganda Gorilla safari

This 3 Days Uganda Gorilla safari : will take you for Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. More famously, this “impenetrable forest” also protects an estimated number of 400 mountain gorillas –roughly half of the world’s population including several habituated groups that can be tracked.

This biologically diverse region also provides shelter to a further 120 mammals, including several primate species such as baboons and chimpanzees, as well as elephants and antelopes. Furthermore, there are over 350 species of birds hosted in this forest, including 23 Albertine Rift endemics.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Equator Experience-Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After having your breakfast, you will be picked from Entebbe/Kampala by your driver and embark on your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.  You will have a visit to the Royal drum making village to meet and interact with the drum makers. You will later have another stopover at the Equator line for photography and refreshments. You will thereafter head to Mbarara town for lunch and later proceed to Bwindi. Upon arrival, you will check in at the lodge, relax and after dinner shall be served.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking-Batwa Cultural Experience

Early breakfast in the morning, after drive to the park headquarters for briefing by the Park rangers about the do’s and don’ts in the park. However, you will be divided into groups of 8 individuals. Afterwards, continue and start off the trekking, one of the most endangered animal species as guided by the rangers. You will spend about 1 hour with them, taking photos, watching them feed, play around as well as doing their day-to-day activities.

But depending on the location and the movement of the gorillas, this activity may take about 2-8 hours. As a matter of fact, expect to walk longer distances with walking sticks due to the muddy and steep landscape. Later, return to the lodge for lunch and a power nap. In the evening you will visit the Batwa community (native culture in the forest). Here, you will get exposed to their culture & norms; dance, lifestyle, storytelling etc which is very amazing and unique. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Igongo Cultural Center-Travel back to Kampala

Have an early breakfast, check-out of the lodge and embark on your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe. Lunch shall be in Mbarara town. You will also have a stop over at Igongo cultural center for the Ankole artifacts. Later continue to Kampala where you will be dropped off to your hotel or catch your flight back home.

Our standard mode of transport is by road and we use 4×4 Safari vehicles. Besides, each safari vehicle comes with a professionally trained driver/guide with fuel for the whole safari. We also have very comfortable super customs which can carry up 6 people with their luggage. However, we also have small vehicles like Alphads, Harrier and much more that can carry 4-5 people.
