This 4 Days Uganda Gorilla & Wildlife Safari : takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for your gorilla trekking, here you will also have an opportunity to see other primates such as the baboons, red-tailed monkeys, chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys among others. For the birders, the park also hosts over 350 bird species which include the white-bellied robin chat, brown-necked parrot, white-tailed blue flycatcher and many more. The safari will end with Lake Mburo National Park for game drives, Nature walk and Boat cruise. Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks and is home to over 350 bird species as well as Zebras, Elands, Impalas, Buffalos, oribi, waterbucks, leopards, hippos, and reedbucks.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi National Park – Equator Experience

After breakfast, you will be picked up by one of our representatives from Ssemambo Tours & Travel who will brief you about the whole safari before you start off your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park which is found in the southwestern part of Uganda. Along the way there is a local drum and craft making community so you will have a visit here. The next stopover will be at the Equator for refreshments, experiment and to take some photos. Also feel free to buy some crafts and souvenirs as you head to Mbarara town where you will have your lunch from. Thereafter, you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and here you will arrive in the late afternoon whereby you will just check in at the lodge, relax in the evening and have Dinner.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking-Batwa Cultural Experience

After an early morning breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters where you will be briefed by the park rangers about do’s and don’ts while trekking in the park, here you will also be divided in a group of 8 individuals and after you will start off your gorilla trekking guided by the park rangers. This is a memorable and an amazing experience watching the Mountain gorillas feed, play around and also do their day to day activities. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates and once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. Later, you will return to your lodge and in the evening you may choose to relax at the lodge or visit the Batwa community which will expose you to their culture basing on how they live, dance, and also hearing stories concerning their culture which will leave you amazed. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park-Game drive

You will have breakfast and later set off to Lake Mburo National Park via Mbarara town. You will arrive in the early afternoon and take some rest before proceeding out for the evening game viewing. On the game drive, expect to see the gigantic eland antelopes, zebras, topi, impalas, Uganda kob and Cape buffalos among others and later, relax at your lodge where you will spend the night.

Day 4: Nature walk – Transfer back to Kampala

Enjoy your early breakfast and proceed for the Mburo morning park (bush) walk in the presence of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger/guide. On this early morning guided walk; you will have the opportunity to encounter; Zebras, Giraffes and Eland, Topi and other antelope, Cape buffaloes among others. Take the Trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo and beyond and from this vantage point, you will have a great view of 9 of the twelve lakes surrounding Lake Mburo National ParkThereafter, you will return to the lodge for checkout and then hit the road to catch up your flight/your hotel.

SAFARI TRANSPORT

Standard 4X4 Safari Vans/Land cruisers

Our standard mode of transport is by road and we use 4×4 Safari van and Land cruisers with open roof tops customized for game viewing and photography.  Each Safari van/Land cruiser comes with a professionally trained driver/guide with fuel for the whole safari. Each client is entitled to a window seat and can take up to 8-10 people. We also have very comfortable super customs which can carry up 6 people with their luggage also have small vehicles like Alphads, Harrier and much more that can carry 4-5 people.
