About This Tour
This 9 Days Adventure & Wildlife Safari: takes you to some of the Uganda’s best attractive places for all your adventure experience. The safari will first take you to Jinja Town where the source of the River Nile begins its journey from. Continue to Murchison Falls National Park, the largest national park in Uganda. Additionally, its renowned for its scenic beauty and the spectacular falls from which it derives its name. Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will see abundant bio-diversity of wildlife and the amazing picturesque scenery. Here, you will enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel with awesome opportunities to spot water birds and animals basking on the shores. The climax of the Safari will be an encounter with the elusive Mountain Gorillas in the famous Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Expand allCollapse allDay 1: Arrival-Transfer to the Hotel
Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be welcomed by our representative and later transfer you to your place of accommodation. Depending on the time of arrival, you can opt for a city tour or just relax at your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at your booked accommodation.

Day 2: Transfer to Jinja-Boat ride
After your breakfast, your driver guide will pick you and drive you to Jinja in the eastern part of the country. You will have a stopover at Sezibwa falls a Buganda cultural heritage site. In fact, it derived its name from a Luganda phrase “sizibwa kkubo” which translates into “my path can never be blocked”. The locals say its because it’s flow could not be stopped even with different obstacles it encountered along its 150 km long distance. Later, continue to Jinja, take a boat ride to the source of the Nile where you will be able to see the river starting its journey. Later have a brief drive through the historical town before heading to your accommodation.

Day 3: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park-Ziwa rhino sanctuary-Top of the falls
After an early breakfast, set off for the tranquil Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary. While here, you will do your on-foot rhino tracking as you look for these animals in their natural habitat. You will thereafter transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, heading direct to the Top of the falls. Here, you will have the views of the Nile as it squeezes through a 7m gorge pouring down into the devil’s cauldron. Note that, this place is good for photography as well as enjoy and views and sounds of the falls. Later you will check in your booked accommodation.

Day 4: Game drive-Boat cruise
Having an early morning breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive at the northern bank of the Nile. Here, you will have chances of spotting different mammal species such as giraffes, elephants, lions, buffaloes and different species of birds. Later, head to the dock, enjoy your packed lunch as you prepare for your afternoon boat cruise. During your boat cruise, look out for the Nile crocodiles, hippos, variety of bird species like the kingfishers, herons, etc. Afterwards return to your beautiful lodge, and enjoy the good night`s rest.

Day 5: Murchison Falls National Park-Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Having breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda. Upon arrival, check in your lodge and prepare for the next days’ activity.

Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking-Lake Katwe Tour
Enjoy an early morning breakfast then later head to the park headquarters for a briefing about chimpanzee trekking. Later, you will be guided in the forest where you will be allowed to have a fascinating encounter with the chimpanzees. Later, return to the lodge for your lunch and then head out for Lake Katwe tour. Here, you will interact with the salt miners, learn the different methods of salt mining and the different kinds of salt produced. Relax at your lodge for the overnight.

Day 7: Morning launch cruise-Transfer to Bwindi
After a delicious breakfast, proceed direct for a launch trip on Kazinga Channel which is home to one of the largest concentrations of hippopotamus. This place also attracts a tremendous variety of bird species including the African Eagle, Open-Billed Stork, Pied Kingfishers, etc. The sights of bird life and hundreds of hippos cooling off at the shores, will definitely be one of the highlights of your cruise safari. Afterwards, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park where you will spend the night as you wait to track the forest gentles the following morning.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking-Batwa cultural encounter
This makes the most exciting day of your safari! The briefing is at 8 am whereby you learn about gorilla etiquette. Then later, start walking and hiking in the impenetrable forest until you find the gorillas. For one hour, you are allowed to watch those majestic giants as they do their daily activities. Afterwards, head back to the park headquarters where you will be awarded by a gorilla trekking certificate. Later, head back to the lodge for lunch and a power nap as you wait for an evening cultural experience. As a matter of fact, the batwa were the first forest dwellers living in harmony with the gorillas. During the cultural encounter, they will take you through their forest experience, through story telling, songs and dances. Afterwards, head back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Transfer back to Entebbe/Kampala
Our guide will drive you back to Entebbe/Kampala where you will relax before catching your departure flight.

- A Visa – you can apply for the visa online or very easily get one at the point of entry into the country (airport)
- Chimpanzee and Gorilla trekking permits – You can apply and secure these online but experience has shown that it is better coordinated when you send money to the tour firm to handle it for you at no extra cost to the standard fee (USD700)
