About This Tour

This 9 Days Uganda & Tanzania wildlife safari: will take you Tanzania and Uganda where you will be able to do different activities. The safari will first take you to Lake Manyara National Park a small park at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment. In addition, it hosts a large number of pink flamingos as well as other wildlife like hippos that dwell in the swallow part of the lake. You will then head to Serengeti National park with over one million wildebeest and thousands of zebras.

The park has also got over 10 species of antelopes as well as over 500 species of birds. Interestingly this park has got only two species of primates i.e olive baboons and black faced monkeys. Later, head to Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world with an abundance of wildlife on the crater floor. Conclude your journey in Uganda; Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for your gorilla trekking. As a mater of fact, the park hosts roughly half of the world’s population gorillas including several habituated groups that can be tracked.

Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport-Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park

You will be picked at the International Airport of Kilimanjaro by our driver guide and drive straight to Lake Manyara National park. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. While here, you will be able to spot different animals such as Buffalo, Elephants, Giraffe, Impala, Flamingos, Hippo, etc. After the game drive you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park - Community visit

After breakfast, you will start off your journey to Serengeti National Park and a picnic lunch will be provided. On the way you will stop in the Masai village holding one of the most famous tribe in Africa. Actually, these people are still practicing their cultural norms whereby you are entertained through their fox dances and songs. Later you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Serengeti National park full day of game drive

Having an early morning breakfast, head for your full day game drive and depending on the time of the year, you expect to see different animals. These include; lions, wildebeests, elephants, antelopes, giraffes, grand’s gazelle, Thomson’s gazelle. Water bucks, hippos, warthogs, tree hyrax, cheetah, buffalos, leopards, rock hyrax, etc. Later in the evening you will head back to your lodge for your overnight stay.

Day 4: Depart Serengeti transfer to Ngorongoro crater tour

After enjoying an early morning breakfast, you will proceed towards the rim of the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. However, you will stop occasionally to admire the breath-taking vista unfolding before you. Arrival will be late afternoon, check in your lodge for lunch and later you can decide to just relax and enjoy the panoramic views of the crater. In fact this is said to be the largest unbroken caldera in the world.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater full day game drive

Have an early morning breakfast then descend some 600m into the crater. In fact, this is a home to an abundance of wildlife and a photogenic paradise. Note that, you will have a full day game drive with a picnic lunch at a private scenic site. Actually, this is the largest intact caldera in the world with an abundance of wildlife which permanently reside on the crater floor. While here, you will spot different animals like the Cape buffalo, Thompson’s gazelles, spotted hyena. Rhino, lions, giraffes, cheetah, leopard, black backed jackal, etc. Apart from its wildlife riches, the crater is also of great archaeological importance, with the remains of some of mankind’s earliest ancestors discovered in the area. Later you will head back to your lodge for overnight stay.

Day 6: Depart Ngorongoro Crater - Transfer to Entebbe

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Arusha for your flight to Entebbe, Uganda. You will be received and welcomed by our representative who will later transfer you to your hotel. Depending on the time of your arrival, you can decide to do a city tour around Entebbe.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Have your early breakfast, then start off your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. This is Africa’s oldest rain forest and it is world renowned for its excellent gorilla sighting opportunities. In addition, the forest has half of the world’s population including several habituated groups that can be tracked. This biologically diverse region also provides shelter to a further 120 mammals, including several primate species such as baboons and chimpanzees. Have your first stop over at the Equator for lunch and also have a chance to enjoy the equator experiences. While here, also feel free to take photos, videos as well as buy some souvenirs to take back home for remembrance. Later, continue with your journey arriving late evening and checking in your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking - Batwa Cultural Encounter

After enjoying your early breakfast, you will head to the quarters for a briefing about what to expect during the trekking. You will be divided into a group of 8 people and later led by the ranger into the forest in search of these great apes. Upon locating one of the families, you will be given one 1 hour in their presence. Here, you will enjoy them doing their daily activates like the young one playing, etc. Feel free to take photos and videos for remembrance back home. Afterwards, you are awarded a gorilla tracking certificate as a sign of welcoming you back from this ultimate gorilla experience. Later, head back to your lodge for lunch and power nap. In the evening, head out for the Batwa Cultural experience, telling you through dances and songs. As a matter of fact, these were the first forest dwellers in Bwindi and used to live in harmony with the gorillas. Head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Transfer back to Entebbe/Kampala 

Have a relaxed breakfast then transfer to Entebbe/Kampala or to the Airport to catch up with your flight back home.
