Transfer  to Kibale National park - Evening birding

After breakfast, transfer to Kibale forest National Park, a tropical rain forest and one of the most rewarding areas to explore. In fact, the park boast over 372 bird species of which 60 percent are recorded Uganda’s forest Birds. Upon arrival, check in the lodge for lunch as you prepare for an afternoon birding. Afterwards, head for birding together with an experienced birding guide leading through the birding spots. Birds here include; Grey winged robin, Blue shouldered robin chat, Yellow spotted barbet, Black billed turaco. White-napped pigeon, Green breasted pitta, Red chested fluff tail, African pitta, Joyful green bull. Grey throated fly catcher, Nathan’s Francolin, Tinny sun bird, White collard olive back, etc. Besides, the forest is home to 13 primate species whereby you will come across some of them during your birding. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Chimpanzee Tracking - Nature walk

Having an early morning breakfast, head to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the dos and don'ts in while in the forest. Later, you will be led into the forest in guidance of an armed ranger and here will you search for the chimpanzees. However, the time taken to locate them will depend on their movements as they look for food. Upon locating a family, you will be given 1hr in their presence as you enjoy them do their daily activities. Afterwards, head back to your lodge for lunch and a power nap as you prepare an evening nature walk. Later, set out for a guided walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run conservation area teeming with life. As you walk along the wooden boardwalks and forest trails, you may spot some primates like the black and white colobus, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys, etc. Also watch out for sitatungas grazing in the swamps, and up to 200 species of birds, including the great blue turaco, papyrus gonolek, etc.

Transfer to Semuliki National Park - Evening birding

Enjoy an early morning breakfast then check out of the lodge and transfer to Semuliki National park for more adventure birding. Upon arrival, you will check into your booked lodge and later go for birding. Generally, Semuliki is known for different bird species that can be spotted at different birding sites. Birds include; the Congo serpent eagle, black throated coucal, Grey throated rail, Long tailed hawk. Spot breasted ibis, Yellow throated nicater, Northern bearded scrub robin, Red chested owlet, Western bronze, etc. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Full day birding in Semuliki

After your early morning breakfast, you will go for birding for the whole day in the forest. In fact, Kirumira trails have become the most popular trail because of its richness in diversity of bird species. You will have packed lunch due to the whole day activity in the park. While here, look out for different birds species both water and forest birds. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, later check out of the lodge and head southwards to Queen Elizabeth National Park. As a matter of fact, this is the second largest park in Uganda after Murchison Falls National Park. It has an excellent variety of birds which can be viewed and these include; Pelicans, Skimmers, kingfishers. Thick-knees, storks, Martins, Swallows, Weavers, canaries, kites and many grassland specialties. Dinner and Overnight will be at the lodge.

Morning game drive - Boat cruise

Have an early morning breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive in the open savannah. This place is also an ideal opportunity to spot the savannah birds. Animals to look out for include; elephants, lions, buffaloes, water bucks, jackals, hyenas, etc. Afterwards head back to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon go for launch cruise. Actually, this is done on Kazinga channel, connecting Lake George and Edward, best known in the region for its diversity of bird species. These include; African skimmers, Green backed Heron, African spoonbill, African crake, Water thick-kne. Woodland kingfisher, common sandpiper, grey headed gull, lesser swamp-warbler, Yellow- billed oxpecker, etc. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Return to Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast, check out of your rooms and head back to Kampala/Entebbe for your scheduled flight back home.
