About This Tour
This 11 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari : takes you to different attractive places in Uganda each with unique attractions and activities to enjoy. Firstly, the safari takes you to Jinja Town where the source of the River Nile begins it journey . Secondly, it will take you to Mt. Elgon National Park, renowned for the scenic beauty of its cliffs, waterfalls, caves, and unique flora. Thirdly, to Kidepo Valley National Park the only place to see cheetahs and ostriches in the wilderness. Fourthly, to Murchison Falls National Park, the largest national park in Uganda, renowned for its scenic beauty and the spectacular falls. Lastly, to Kibale Forest National Park, the primate capital of the world with the highest population of primates in the country.

Upon arrival at the Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred by one of our representative to your booked accommodation. Depending on the the time of arrival, you can decided to have a small tour around town. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Transfer to Jinja - Boat cruise to the Source
Your driver will pick you after a morning breakfast and later start your journey to Jinja. Along the way you will enjoy the sight of Mabira Forest, the largest remaining tropical forest in Central Uganda. Continue to Jinja town and upon arrival, head straight for a boat cruise to the Source of the Nile. Here, you will witness the River water separating itself from the Lake, starting its journey to the Mediterranean sea. Afterwards, head back for a brief drive through the historical town before heading to your accommodation.

Transfer to Mt. Elgon National Park
After an early breakfast, drive eastward to Mt. Elgon with views of tea and sugarcane plantations along the roadsides. You will have lunch in Mbale and later proceed to Kapchorwa located between beautiful hills and waterfalls. Your dinner and overnight will be at one of the selected lodges adjacent to the Sipi Falls.

Mt. Elgon Exploration
You will have breakfast and thereafter head to Mt. Elgon Forest Exploration Center for a briefing on the activities of the day. There are two hike option areas to choose from. The popular forest exploration center trail loop site makes one enjoy the cool mist at Chebonet falls. Explore the Kapkwai cave, the talking tree and a spectacular viewpoint of the low land areas. The other is the long ‘arm’ of Mt. Elgon that bears the Wanale trails loop. Actually, these have got vertical cliffs of ridge and several cascading waterfalls that make a very scenic view. These two-day hike areas offers an excellent opportunity to experience Mt. Elgon’s unique plants and wildlife in a short period.

Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park
After an early morning breakfast, embark on a long adventurous road trip to the very far north east of Uganda. You will head to Kidepo Valley National Park driving through Pian-Upe Game reserve. Enjoy your packed lunch on the way as you continue with the journey with views of beautiful landscape and some wildlife. Upon arrival, check in your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Morning game drive-Community visit
Have an early morning breakfast then head for a morning to look out for the early risers in their natural habitat. While here, look out for lions, buffalos, cheetahs, jakals, zebras, elephants, leopards, etc. Later, head back to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for an evening community visit. In guidance of an experience local guide, you will head to the Morungole mountain ranges for the Ik cultural experience. While here, visit their asaks and odoks and here you will interact with them, taking you through their different cultural practices. Feel free to participate in their activities as well as take photos and videos for remembrance. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After having breakfast, you will set off for the tranquil Murchison Falls National Park. The drive will take you through Kitgum and Gulu towns before reaching Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, will be transferred straight to your lodge where you will check in and spend the night.

Day 8: Game Drive-Boat cruise
Have breakfast then proceed for a morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile. This basically gives you a great chance of spotting animals such as giraffes, elephants, lions, Jackson's Hartebeest and different species of birds. Afterwards, head to the dock where you will enjoy your packed lunch as you wait for your boat cruise activity. You will enjoy a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the base of the tranquil Murchison Falls. Here, look out for the Nile crocodile, hippos, as well as variety of bird species. You will also spot some animals at the banks of the river as they quench their thirst. After return to your beautiful lodge, and enjoy the good night’s rest.

Top of the falls-Transfer to Kibale National Park
You will have an early morning breakfast, check out and head to the top of the falls. While here, you will have clear views of the falls, take photos and videos for memories back home. Later start your journey to Kibale Forest National Park in western part of the country. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 10: Chimpanzee Tracking-Nature Walk
Enjoy breakfast and later report to the headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations before tracking the chimpanzees. However, the location of the chimpanzees depends on where they spent their night. In fact, this gives you an opportunity to also see a variety of other primates as well as birds. You will have lunch at your lodge and thereafter go to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a nature walk. Rich in biodiversity and beautiful scenery, the wetland is a birder’s paradise with about 138 species.

Day 11: Transfer back to Entebbe/Kampala
After your delicious breakfast, our guide will drive you back to Entebbe/Kampala where you will relax before catching up with your flight back home.

Requirements for the Safari
- A Visa – you can apply for the visa online or very easily to get one at the point of entry into the country (airport)
- Chimpanzee Tracking permits costs USD250 per person but experience has shown that it is better coordinated when you send money to the tour firm to handle it for you at no extra cost.
- Travel & Health insurance – This should be arranged by you in your home country before you travel.
- Physical fitness.
