This 13 Days Uganda Wildlife & Gorilla safari: takes you to different attractive places in Uganda for all your adventure experience. The safari will first take you to Jinja Town where the source of the River Nile begins its journey. Jinja is also a hot spot for adventures including; white water rafting, tubing, quad biking, etc. This Safari continues to Mt. Elgon National Park, renowned for the scenic beauty of its cliffs, waterfalls, caves, and unique flora. Proceed to Kidepo Valley National Park in Northern Uganda, for an incredible variety of wildlife in its hidden haven.
You will then proceed to the Murchison Falls National Park, the largest national park in Uganda, renowned for its scenic beauty and the spectacular falls. Have an encounter with the habituated chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park, the primate capital of the world. Continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will enjoy game drives plus a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel. Head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Western Uganda for your ultimate Gorilla experience. Conclude with Lake Bunyonyi “the Switzerland of Uganda” dotted with 29 islands protruding from the lake for canoe rides.

Transfer to Jinja - Boat to the Source of the Nile
Our guide will pick you up after breakfast then start your journey to Jinja, one of the most visited city in the country. You will have a stopover at Ssezibwa Falls and here you have views of the waterfalls as well as a nature walk. In fact, the place is a cultural site with an interesting historical background as told by the onsite guides. Afterwards, proceed with your journey with spectacular views along the way like the Mabira forest. Actually, the forest is the largest remaining tropical forest in Central Uganda hosting different birds and primate species. Upon arrival in Jinja, enjoy your lunch then later head for a boat cruise to the source of the Nile. While here, you will witness the River separating from the Lake, starting its long journey into the Mediterranean sea. Check in your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Transfer to Kapchorwa - Hike Sipi Falls
After an early breakfast, drive eastward to Mt. Elgon with views of tea and sugarcane plantations along the roadsides. You will have lunch in Mbale and later proceed to Kapchorwa located between beautiful hills and waterfalls. Upon arrival, you will be briefed by the onsite guide, and later with your hiking gears, head for the Sipi falls hike. Sipi falls is a generally a series of three waters falls with different flowing levels and flowing to different directions. When you hike at the top of the falls, you will enjoy spectaculars views of the mountain Elgon as well as the surrounding areas. Dinner and overnight stay at your booked lodge.

Nature walks - Community visits
Enjoy breakfast and thereafter take a walk to the Mt. Elgon Forest Exploration Center for a briefing on the activities of the day. You will later go for an interactive cultural community walk in the Bunduri Community not far from Mt. Elgon. Actually, this community, offers cultural dances, guided coffee tours and community nature walks. Visitors can discover the region’s cultural dances, food preparation, folklore and its famous delicacy malewa bamboo shoots. There is also a tour of Mt. Elgon’s famous Arabica coffee processing plants, which supports local farmers.

Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park
After an early morning breakfast, embark on a long adventurous road trip to the very far north east of Uganda. You will head to Kidepo Valley National Park driving through Pian-Upe Game reserve. Enjoy your packed lunch on the way as you continue with the journey with views of beautiful landscape and some wildlife. Upon arrival, check in your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Morning game drive - Cultural experience
Have an early morning breakfast then head for a morning to look out for the early risers in their natural habitat. While here, look out for lions, buffalos, cheetahs, jakals, zebras, elephants, leopards, etc. Later, head back to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for an evening community visit. In guidance of an experience local guide, you will head to the Morungole mountain ranges for the Ik cultural experience. While here, visit their asaks and odoks and here you will interact with them, taking you through their different cultural practices. Feel free to participate in their activities as well as take photos and videos for remembrance. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Drive to Murchison Falls National Park
After having breakfast, you will set off for the tranquil Murchison Falls National Park. The drive will take you through Kitgum and Gulu towns before reaching Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, will be transferred straight to your lodge where you will check in and spend the night.

Morning Game drive - Afternoon Boat Cruise
Have breakfast then proceed for a morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile. This basically gives you a great chance of spotting animals such as giraffes, elephants, lions, Jackson's Hartebeest and different species of birds. Afterwards, head to the dock where you will enjoy your packed lunch as you wait for your boat cruise activity. You will enjoy a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the base of the tranquil Murchison Falls. Here, look out for the Nile crocodile, hippos, as well as variety of bird species. You will also spot some animals at the banks of the river as they quench their thirst. After return to your beautiful lodge, and enjoy the good night’s rest.

Top of the falls - Transfer to Kibale National Park
You will have an early morning breakfast, check out and head to the top of the falls. While here, you will have clear views of the falls, take photos and videos for memories back home. Later start your journey to Kibale Forest National Park in western part of the country. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Chimpanzee trekking - Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
Enjoy breakfast and later report to the headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations before tracking the chimpanzees. However, the location of the chimpanzees depends on where they spent their night. In fact, this gives you an opportunity to also see a variety of other primates as well as birds. You will have lunch at your lodge and thereafter drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Gorilla trekking - Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Have an early morning breakfast and then start your most exciting day of your safari. Head to the park headquarters for a briefing where you will learn about gorilla etiquette. Later, together with your experienced ranger of the day, head to the forest in search for the gorillas. Upon locating them, you are given one hour and here you are allowed to watch those majestic giants! Depending on the duration of the track you will either have a rest first or immediately head straight for Lake Bunyonyi. The lake is said to be the second deepest lake in Africa and one of the most beautiful places in western Uganda. It is also one of the few places in the country where it is considered safe to swim since it is bilharzia free. Dinner and overnight at your booked lodge.

Canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast head for a canoe-ride on Lake Bunyonyi where you will explore some of the Islands on this lake. Bunyonyi basically means “place of many little birds” and as the name suggests, there is plenty of bird life around the lake. Discover the different Islands on this lake, listening to their interesting historical backgrounds. You will as well spot different birds species that call this place a home like the kingfishers, herons, egrets, etc. Head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Transfer back to Entebbe/Kampala
Have breakfast, check out of the lodge and start your journey back to Entebbe/Kampala. Drive direct to your hotel or at the Airport to catch up with your flight back home.

Requirements
- A Visa – you can apply for the visa online or very easily get one at the point of entry into the country (airport).
- Chimpanzee Tracking permits costs USD250 per person while Gorilla trekking permits costs USD800 per person. You can apply and secure these on line but experience has shown that it is better coordinated when you send money to the tour firm to handle it for you at no extra cost.
- Travel & Health insurance – This should be arranged by you in your home country before you travel.
- Physical fitness
