This 5 Days wildlife & chimp experience : will take you to Murchison Falls National Park. Actually, this is one of the most exciting National Parks to visit during your Uganda safari. Murchison Falls National Park has several vegetation types like swamps, tropical rainforests of Budongo, Savannah woodland and grassland. Actually, this is a home to a variety of wildlife inclusive of primates and different bird species. Visitors here should not miss out on the spectacular game drives and boat cruises to the base of the falls and delta.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Depart Kampala-Travel to Murchison Falls-Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary-Top of the falls
After an early morning breakfast, your guide will be ready to pick and brief you about the safari. Later, embark on your journey to Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary. Here, you will do your on-foot rhino tracking as well as spot other animals like water bucks, warthogs, etc. Thereafter, head to Masindi town for lunch, later continue to the park. Upon arrival, enjoy your first activity which will be a walk at the top of the falls. Enjoy the sounds and sights of these mighty falls as they squeeze through a 7m gorge, pouring into the devil’s cauldron. Feel free to take photos and videos for remembrance back home. Afterwards, head to your booked lodge, check in for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning game Drive-Boat cruise
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive through the park tracks. Here, you will spot different animals like elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, water bucks, oribis, warthogs, lions, etc. Thereafter, head to the dock, enjoy your packed lunch as you prepare for boat cruise along the Victoria Nile. In fact, this boat cruise is seen as the highlight of all activities in the Park. Note that; many water and land animals can be sighted as well as different birds species. Later, head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Delta cruise-Evening game drive
Enjoy your breakfast, you will head for another boat cruise at the delta area of Murchison Falls National Park. This boat cruise basically offers a chance to see lots of wildlife species. These include buffaloes, elephants, crocodiles, hippos and the rare shoebill stock. Afterwards, return to the lodge for lunch and as you prepare for an evening game drive. During the game drive, lookout for animals you could have missed on the first game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking
Having your morning breakfast, you will be driven to the headquarters at Kaniyo pabidi eco-site in Budongo forest. Here, you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts when tracking the chimpanzees. As a matter of fact, Budongo forest is the largest natural rainforest in East Africa with over 600 chimpanzees. Later, hit the forest in search of these great apes depending their location. Upon location, you will be given 1 hour in their presence as you enjoy their day-to-day activities. The walk will also expose you to other primates, plants and shrubs in this vast forest. After your chimpanzee tracking, you will return to the lodge for overnight.

Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and start your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe en-route lunch on the way.

Our standard mode of transport is by road and we use 4×4 Safari vehicles. Each Safari vehicle comes with a professionally trained driver/guide with fuel for the whole safari. We also have very comfortable super customs which can carry up to 6 people with their luggage, we also have small vehicles like Alphads, Harrier and much more that can carry 4-5 people.
