Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha-Transfer to Serengeti National Park

You will be picked from the Airport by one of our representatives from Great Nest Image Safaris who will brief you about the whole journey and later head to Serengeti National Park. When you get to the park, you will check into your lodge where you will have your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full day game drive in Serengeti National Reserve

After your morning breakfast, you will be driven to Serengeti National Park for a game drive and while here, you will spot different animals like the cape buffalos, lions, hartebeests, cheetah, leopards and different bird species like the hornbills, secretary birds and much more. Later you will drive back to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for an evening game drive. During the evening game drive you will be able to visit areas that you did not visit during your morning game and also spot out those animals and bird species that you were not able to spot during your morning game drive. Later you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning game drive – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you will go for an early morning game drive where you will be able to spot out different animals like the wildebeests, lions, leopards and many more. Later you will check out of the lodge and head to Seronera airstrip to catch your flight to Kigali International Airport. Reaching at the Airport you will be picked by one of our drivers/guides and set off to Volcanoes National Park where you will check in direction to your lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking – Transfer to Kigali

After having your early morning breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts while trekking gorillas. Later you will be grouped into 8 people per group and assigned by a game ranger per group who will lead you into the forest to start on the search for the mountain gorillas. This activity will take 2-4 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. When you find the gorillas you are allowed only 1hour to be in their presence as you take memorable pictures and watch them do their day to day activities for example how they take care of their young ones, building their nests and many more. After this experience you head back to the park headquarters where you will be awarded by a certificate and later head back to your lodge to have lunch, check out of the lodge and set off to Kigali where you will be dropped off at your hotel or at the Airport to catch up with your flight back home.
