This 7 Days Uganda Adventure Safari : will take you through Queen Elizabeth National Park which is a home to various mammals like the tree climbing lions. Thereafter you will head to Lake Bunyonyi for a canoe ride and nature walk and conclude with Lake Mburo National Park for the game drive and nature walk. Queen Elizabeth National Park is situated close to mountain Rwenzori, the panoramic display of the Kazinga channel, different animal and bird species. Lake Bunyonyi also takes its name from the abundant birdlife that call it home and over 200 bird species harbors in this place. Lake Mburo National Park the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks, a home to over 350 bird species and different animal species.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park-Equator experience

After breakfast, you will be picked by one of our representatives from Great Nest Image Safaris who will brief you about the journey and thereafter you will embark on your journey Southwest wards to Queen Elizabeth National ParkAlong the way you will have your fisrt stopover at the Equatorhere you will enjoy the equator experiments, refreshments and also take some photographs. Later you will have another stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Thereafter you will proceed to the Park as you drive through the spectacular landscape characterized with open grasslands, tea plantations, Ankole long horned cattle and the Rift valley escarpment. You will reach the park in the late afternoon and check in direct to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game drive – Boat cruise

You will have breakfast early in the morning and later go for a game drive in the Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Here you will have a chance of coming across lions, elephants, buffaloes, and abundance of different bird species. After lunch, you will go for an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel which reward you with views of hippos, crocodiles and other animals like elephants, buffalos and warthogs along the shores of the channel.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – Boat ride

You will have your breakfast and later depart for Lake Bunyonyi well known as the second deepest Lake in Africa. The word Bunyonyi means “small birds” in direct translation which means that the lake is a must stopover for committed birders and besides that; its serpentine shape and numerous islands are other highlights one must look out for. After checking in your lodge, you will go for a Boat ride/Canoeing and here you will be able to visit some of the Islands on the Lake. Some of the Islands on the Lake were named according to the different bird species that harbors those Island and some were named for different reasons for example the Punishment Island which is the smallest and was used by the Bakiga people to drop their girls who got pregnant before marriage and here you will also learn a lot about the people that inhabit the Islands.  Later you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Relax by Lake Bunyonyi

You will have a free day by the Lake , take a swim (the Lake is free from hippos, crocodiles and bilharzia), go for a hike, interact with the community around or just relax.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park 

You will have breakfast and later set off to Lake Mburo National Park via Mbarara town. On reaching the park, you will check in direct for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Nature walk – Evening game drive

Enjoy your early breakfast and proceed for the Mburo morning park (bush) walk in the presence of an armed ranger. During this nature walk, you will have an opportunity to encounter; zebras, giraffes, eland, topi, cape buffaloes among others. Take the trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo and beyond and from this vantage point, you will have a great view of 9 of the twelve crater lakes surrounding Lake Mburo National ParkAfter lunch, you will go for an evening game drive in the park, here you can see impalas and zebras. Get back to the lodge to enjoy your last evening in the park.

Day 7: Transfer to Kampala

You will have a relaxed breakfast and then start the journey to Kampala. You will make a stopover along the way for lunch in Masaka and later proceed with your journey. You will arrive in Kampala in the afternoon, dropped at your hotel or Airport depending on your flight arrangements.

Our standard mode of transport is by road and we use 4×4 Safari vehicles. Each Safari vehicle comes with a professionally trained driver/guide with fuel for the whole safari. We also have very comfortable super customs which can carry up to 6 people with their luggage, we also have small vehicles like Alphads, Harrier and much more that can carry 4-5 people.
