Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival-Kampala City Tour
Upon your arrival at the Airport, you will be picked by one of our representatives from Ssemambo Tours & Travel who will brief you about your whole safari. Later you will proceed to Kampala for a city tour where you will experience the beauty of Kampala and its culture. While here, you will be able to visit different places like the Bahai temple, Kabaka’s palace, Gadhafi Mosque and also get a chance to taste Ugandan cuisine “rolex” with the company of your guide. Later you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After your breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and start on your journey to Murchison Falls National Park known for its thunderous waterfalls passing through a gorge of 7 meters and it’s the major attraction in the park. The park is also famous for hosting 4 of the big 5 i.e leopards, lions, buffalos and elephants. You will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will be able to do your rhino tracking. You will have lunch on the way before proceeding to Murchison Falls National Park and on entering the park, you will check in direct your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning game drive – Afternoon Boat cruise
After having an early morning breakfast, you will head for an early morning game drive and here will be able to see different mammal species such as buffalos, warthogs, waterbucks, elephants, hartebeests, Rothschild giraffes, lions and different bird species such as red bishops, Abyssinian ground hornbill, saddle billed stork, martial eagles and many more. You will head back to your lodge for lunch as you prepare for an afternoon boat cruise. Later you will go for a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile where you will enjoy the bottom views of Murchison falls as well as different water wildlife such as the hippos, elephants, Nile crocodiles and water bird species such as the cormorants, malachite kingfishers, pied kingfishers, shoebill stork and many more.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park – Evening game drive
You will have an early breakfast, you will continue your journey to Lake Mburo National Park. You will have a stopover at the equator where you will have refreshments, take memorable pictures and also buy some souvenirs to take back home. Reaching the park you will check in direct your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After having your breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and proceed with your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is located in the south western part of Uganda also known for its tree climbing lions located in Ishasha sector. After checking in lodge, later you will visit the crater lakes as you enjoy the beautiful views around the National Park and take photos. Later you head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Morning game drive – Boat cruise
Your will have your morning breakfast and later head for a morning game drive in the savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park around Kasenyi plains where you will enjoy seeing different wildlife species grazing around the park such as elephants, buffalos, waterbucks among others. Later in the afternoon after lunch, you will go for an afternoon game drive along Kazinga Channel where you will see various animals such as elephants, hippos as wells as different bird species such as cormorants, kingfishers, hornbills and many more.

Day 7: Morning game drive – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will have another morning game drive to spot those animals that were missed out on the previous morning game drive. Will also drive to Ishahsa sector where you will be able to spot the tree climbing lions. Later you will check out of the lodge and proceed with your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, having lunch on the way. In this day, you will check in direct to your lodge as you prepare for the next day’s adventure experience of gorilla trekking.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking
After an early morning breakfast, you will head to the headquarters where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts while doing your gorilla trekking. You will grouped in groups of 8 people and the assigned ranger of the day will lead you into the forest to start your gorilla trekking. The activity can take 2-8 hours while in the forest depending on the location of the gorillas. Upon location these gorillas, you will be given 1 hour in their presence as you take memorable pictures and also enjoy them doing their day to day activities. You will also be able to come across different primates such as vervet monkeys and baboons. Later you will head back to the headquarters where you will be awarded by certificates. You will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and head to Lake Bunyonyi known as the second deepest Lake in Africa and also a Lake with many birds and is located in the south western part of Uganda. You will enjoy views of the terraced hills as you proceed to the Lake where you will engage in a boat ride. You will also enjoy listening to the interesting stories about the Islands located in this Lake. Your will check in your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Transfer to Ruhengeri and community visit
You will have an early morning breakfast as you prepare to cross over to Rwanda. Your driver will drive you to Volcanoes National Park and upon arrival in the park, you will check in and have lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will go for a community visit in Iby’iwacu village where you will get to know about the way of the life of the Banyarwanda and their culture. You will enjoy watching the intore dances which you can also join in during the cultural dance performances. After you will drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11: Golden monkey tracking – Transfer to Lake Kivu
After having your breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters and briefed about the dos and don’ts while doing your monkey tracking. Your ranger will guide you into the forest for look for the golden monkeys. You will also be able to spot different primates such as red tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys and baboons. You will spend 2-5 hours in the forest enjoying their daily activities, taking memorable pictures and later you will head back to the headquarters and proceed with your journey to Lake Kivu. You will have lunch on the way and then proceed to Lake Kivu to enjoy the amazing views and also visit the neighboring towns. Later you will check in the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
After breakfast, you will start on your journey to Nyungwe Forest National Park. This park is known for its canopy walk as well as being one of the oldest and largest rain forest in Africa. You will have lunch on the way and later proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 13: Chimpanzee tracking-Canopy walk
After an early morning breakfast, you will head to the headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts while doing your chimpanzee tracking. Your ranger will lead you into the forest in search for the chimpanzees where you will be given 1 hour to take pictures as well as enjoy their daily activities. Later you will return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will go for canopy walk in Nyungwe forest along the suspended bridge over the trees where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the park, later you will head back to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 14: Transfer to Kigali-City tour
After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and start on your journey to Kigali city where you will visit different places such as the Gisozi genocide memorial centers, Rwanda National Museum and different craft shops. You will check in you lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 15: Departure
You will have breakfast, later check of the lodge and later proceed to the airport to catch off your flight back home.
